Lauren Boebert's brief time in office has been an unqualified disaster.In less than a year in office, Rep. Boebert has disgraced herself, Colorado's Third Congressional District, and the state of Colorado as a whole by becoming a symbol of angry extremism and outright contempt for the facts. Rep. Boebert has totally failed to provide for the needs of her district in the congressional appropriations process, consistently voted to support the oil and gas industry over other stakeholders, and purposefully become embroiled in petty personal conflicts in order to distract from mounting corruption scandals and financial irresponsibility.
Boebert's latest outrageous offense to the dignity of her office, fabricating a false story to suggest a fellow member of Congress is a security threat at the U.S. Capitol, goes beyond Boebert's considerable previous misdeeds and endangers the safety of her colleagues in the U.S. House. With no sign that the Republican minority leadership intends to take responsibility for Boebert, it is up to Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic leadership in the U.S. House to intervene and prevent Boebert's dangerous behavior from being normalized.
We call for Rep. Lauren Boebert to be immediately removed by a majority vote from all U.S. House committee assignments.
