Learn more about Lauren Boebert

In less than one year in office, Rep. Lauren Boebert has managed to make just about everyone including many of her one-time supporters cringe. While rural Colorado faces drought, wildfires, and economic struggle during the COVID-19 pandemic, Lauren Boebert seems to only care about making the wrong kind of headlines.

  • The Boebert Freak Show

After being sworn into office, Lauren Boebert joined forces with the very worst of the far-right Republican freshmen elected since Donald Trump, including Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz. While Southern Colorado and the Western Slope got shortchanged by recent congressional spending due to Boebert’s refusal to even ask for projects in her district to be funded, Boebert focused on building her following on Twitter and spreading conspiracy theories about everything from the pandemic to the “Big Lie” that the 2020 election was stolen.

    Lauren Boebert, Carnival Barker

At a time when our country needs serious people to confront serious problems, Lauren Boebert makes a mockery of her responsibilities in Congress. Boebert’s voting record in Congress is an almost unthinkable collection of hateful, ignorant votes--sometimes one of only a handful or even all by herself--against such universally popular programs as fraud prevention against senior citizens and stopping hate crimes against Asian Americans. Boebert was one of only sixteen members of Congress who voted against expediting visas for Afghan refugees, then had the gall to attack President Biden after the fall of Kabul.

    Who Bought Lauren Boebert?

Lauren Boebert ran for office as a small business owner who could barely make ends meet. But almost two years after Boebert ran for Congress, her campaign mysteriously disclosed almost $1 million paid to the Boebert family business by a major oil and gas company. Since Boebert never disclosed this huge source of income on the campaign trail, this disclosure raises the question: did Boebert take a bribe for her service on the House Natural Resources Committee? That’s why groups in Boebert’s district like Rural Colorado United are calling on Boebert to release her tax returns.
